This session will feature Boards of Canada's Music Has the Right to Children.
'The Sunday Record' aims to promote the art of listening to a record together on a Sunday morning [analogue | quality | high-fidelity], and to provide a space for a distraction-free collective listening of influential artists. The music is played through warm wooden floor standing speakers.
We promote:
• Influential artists old and new
• A space for music enthusiasts (all welcome!!)
• Album culture, rather than track
• The qualities of analogue sound
• A space without digital distraction
• Hi-Fi separates
• Sharing music and hi-fi recommendations
The Music
We aim to play a variety of influential artists. Some albums will be recently released, others decades old. A few artists we admire include Brian Eno, The Durutti Column, Jon Hopkins, Kate Bush, Kraftwerk, Joy Division, Joanna Newson, Max Ritcher. Visit our Facebook page to make suggestions and discuss the next album to be played.
