A bit about Bankside
Bankside is a great area to live, work, play or visit. It has been described as 'London's oldest suburb' as well as 'London's original district of sin' due to its reputation as a fairly lawless place dating from Roman times. Bankside has a thriving community and no wonder, you'll find art galleries, student blocks, architect and media firms aplenty, theatres and wonderful eateries that'll delight any foodie, all within comfortable walking distance. We thought we'd give you a sense of the immediate area near our shop on 39 Bear Lane so you can check out our neighbours too. Many of the local businesses and organisations at Bankside are members of BetterBankside and if you live or work in the vicinity, you should definitely register for a free Buzz card which entitles you to discounts and special privileges at participating outlets.
